Comments: In the 30 August observation, I estimated Vesta's magnitude at 7.4 - 7.5 using the star comparison method. The Galilean moons appeared much brighter than Vesta. Europa is the moon farthest to the west, followed by Ganymede and Io, with Callisto on the east side. Instead of sizing the moons by magnitude like I do stars, I kept them small in order to show their positions relative to Jupiter. They actually appeared about as bright as the two bright stars in the NE quadrant. In the 5 September observation, both Vesta and Jupiter have shifted noticeably to the east.
