m1=10.0, Dia. =6', DC=3 15x60 B... Comet very much more difficult tonight. Seen for only brief periods with direct vision. Large coma, but even more diffuse now. Sidgewick Method and Tycho 2 comparison stars used. Sky background a little bright with some cloud interference at times. Observation made in a large convienient gap in the cloud. Naked eye limiting magnitude near the comet 6.2 |
