Exposure: | 45 x 30s + 10 x 180s |
Filter: | Astronomik CLS/HA/OIII/SII |
Field of View: | 80' |
Observing Site: | Cherhill, Wiltshire UK |
Observing Equipment: | TMB105 f/6.2 refractor Atik 4000 CCD |
Digital Processing: | Tricky to knock out the Moon, uses gradient xterminator/Noels actions/CS5; Maxim DL DDP/SD/and Median Combined layers |
Comments: | Very difficult to process due to the extremely bright and close by Moon. The use of narrowband filters helped a lot, as did the gradient xterminator plug in. To clarify this (now that it's morning!). This is a DDP processed image using MaXIM DL, which is a combination of around 45 x 30s + 10 x 180s exposures using a CLS light pollution filter. Then using the RC Gradient xterminator, the moonlight caused gradient removed. |
