Image Parameter Details
Comments: The comet is moving across a starfield and the brightness is clearly rising at the time of the impact. Towards the end of the image sequence the comet was only 6 degrees above the horizon and getting lost in haze and lots of airmass. The galaxy is PGC 48179 of visual magnitude 12.8. The limiting star magnitude is well beyond 16 mag.
