m1=11.3, Dia. =1.5', DC=3 20cm L f/9 72x Comet much more difficult tonight. Difficult to hold in sight for more than a few seconds with direct vision, but steady with averted vision. Coma decidedly smaller than the previous observation, but still diffuse and quite spherical, and again with the central condensation possibly slightly offset in the sunward direction. Sidgewick Method and Tycho 2 comparison stars used. Observing conditions very similar to last night. |
